News from the Old Ranger Station Gallery... |
| Oct 2 - Oct 31 Enjoy the humour of this new artist as she bravely displays her multi media paintings. Theresa Mohr's "Life in a Guitar (and other interesting places)" portrays her joy of music and animals in watercolours, watercolour pencil, and ink. Picture sizes vary from the humourous cartoon style card size to the large gentle motion of swimming Orcas. |
| Nov. 1 is the 'Olde Fashioned Christmas Craft Faire' at The Old Ranger Station. Featuring 13 quality crafters, early Christmas shoppers will be treated to everything from hand made soaps to quilts, jewellery, wood & stone carvings, and truffles. From 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. A luncheon will also be available. Donations at the door will go to The Food Hamper Program or "Random Acts of Kindness" |
IN THE GIFT/COFFEE SHOP: New artworks in miniature - delightful, textural, acrylic-on-canvas pictures of old buildings, colourful flowers leaning in the breezes, glorious sunsets, and even a tree frog. Reasonable prices will allow you to purchase sets for that special spot in your home. As always, VIRGINIA POHL comes up with new scents in her hand-made, natural ingredient soaps. WAYNE & PENI CAMPBELL have just brought in new laminated and turned bowls and sandstone paintings. ANNE HAVARD'S cards make a great gift idea - purchase 5 and get a 6th one for free. For those of you who missed out on the mugs with the TELKWA logo, we just received a new order. They come in colours of black, blue, green, and burgundy. Add a bag of MERCEDES BEANS COFFEE for an impromptu gift or for someone difficult to buy for. For dinner drinks, JACKIE LAMBIE's hand-painted wine glasses, sure to dress up any table. As always we carry prints by Native artist ROBERT SEBASTIAN.

History
The Ranger Station was constructed in Telkwa near Smithers in
the 1950s for the BC Forest Service. It has a distinctive hip roof
and is
painted
in
the traditional
white with green trim. You will see many of its counterparts as
you travel through the many small communities of northern BC.
