Road Conditions: All-weather gravel road   Trail Length: One hour
Directions: Drive west on Highway 16 from Houston 2 minutes and turn left (south) on Buck Flats Road. Turn right into the Morice Mt. Nordic Ski Trails parking lot. Drive another 2 km on the trail access road and park.   Features: Take a dip in Silverthorne Lake, walk the boardwalk to see wetland plants and birds or enjoy the trail as it winds through pine trees that survived a fire years ago.
