| Directions: Turn north off Highway 16 at 8th
Ave and head up the hill. Turn one block west to 9th Ave at the top
of hill. Go north to curve and turn west (left) on Gowan Road. Drive
.6 km and bear left on the Boer Mt. Road. Drive 2.7 km and the lake
is on the right. Walk in short road uphill from lake to upper trailhead.
The lower trailhead is on the powerline right-of-way on the lower
side of the lake. |

Features: Good mix of pine and spruce
forest. Lots of high-bush cranberry and other typical plants. Watch
for waterfowl and beaver in the lakes. Easy access for canoes. Trail
is suitable for hiking, horseback riding and mountain bikes but no
motorized vehicles. There is another trail for ATVs and snowmobiles
a short distance along the road to the west (before Kager Lake). Main
trail heads southeast to Long Lake and on to Tintagel Road. Lots of
cross trails to explore. |
