Features: A small, unimpressive
mountain but good views of the Bulkley Valley. Best to connect and
return to the parking lot on the McCabe Trail or
on the Lyon Trail so that you don't need to retrace the trail. Little
chance of seeing mountain goats but
there are marmots at the crossover. To cross over to McCabe Trail,
keep in the middle low part of the summit and follow the creek on
the east side and bear left at a small lake. You will begin to see
the trail below the lake, to the north. Take a map and compass to
be sure. If you start on the McCabe Trail, the connector trail is
flagged on the second boardwalk and turns south and winds up a steep
hill. On the west side ot Harvey Mountain, old tire tracks in the
alpine give a clue to the trail going down. |
Hyland Mountain in the distance. Small lake on
the connector trail to McCabe trail - keep left of lake

To connect with McCabe Trail, follow creek that flows to the
east from the summit
