Highway 16 and most side roads are maintained year
round.
From time to time, road closures may occur for construction
in the summer or for snow or rock slides in the winter.
Forestry roads should be avoided during weekdays when
logging trucks may be active. Logging trucks use radios to
keep track of other trucks. Some forestry roads are only wide
enough for one large vehicle.
Forestry roads may be used safely on weekends and on holidays.
Even then, be prepared to pull to the side and stop if you
encounter heavy equipment.
Some major logging roads are wide enough for all traffic
and may be used during the week.
