Lake, with rustic camping and picnic facilities with
a dramatic view. See also Uncha
Mountain Provincial Park.
Features: Francois Lake
Park is located at the east end of Francois Lake, protecting 25 km
of shoreline. Includes high quality moose winter habitat. The area
was traditionally used by the First Nations people for hunting, fishing
and gathering and many culturally modified trees have been located
in the park. A major First Nations village site was located at Anjur
Bay. The park connects the riparian lakeshore area with upland forests
on surrounding hills.
Directions: Turn south off Highway 16 onto Highway
35 in Burns Lake. Turn right (west) at the "T" at Francois
