To return to Prince George on the Alaska Loop Route, turn south on Highway 37 at the turnoff 22 km west of Watson Lake on the Alaska Highway

Highway 37 is a well-maintained and scenic route and joins with our own Highway 16 at Kitwanga

How far is it?

The total length of the trip from Kitwanga, in the west, to Fraser Lake, in the east, is 323 km, 201 miles, about a 3 hour and 21 minute drive at the posted speed limit.

The length of each section:

Fraser Lake to Burns Lake - 70 km, 43.5 miles or 44 minutes

Burns Lake to Houston - 80.5 km, 50 miles or 50 minutes

Houston to Smithers - 63 km, 39 miles or 39 minutes

Smithers to Kitwanga - 110 km, 68 miles or 68 minutes
