| Features: The Babine Mountains
at the Smithers end of the Back Road are impressive. Babine Lake
is very picturesque and Granisle is an excellent stop over to explore
the lake. The rest of the Back Road winds through logging cut blocks
and rolling forest lands without a good view. But if you wish to
visit Granisle, why not see a bit more of the country and make it
a loop rather than driving the Granisle Road from Topley up and back.
Watch for wildlife, especially in the morning and evening. |

Tour Length: Two hours drive from Topley to
Granisle to Smithers. Another hour drive on Highway 16 to complete
the loop. Take the day so that you have time to stop and explore. |
