| My cart has disappeared - what happened? |

There is a server time out of 15 minutes. If you do not refresh the page or choose a new page within 15 minutes, the cart will no longer show. It's best to organize your order offline first then fill in your order so that the whole process takes less than 15 minutes of inactive time. Otherwise you can fax your order or phone for assistance. |

| My anti-syphon valve cracked - why? |

The V4, V4HD or V5 anti-syphon valve will crack around the top as a result of excess weight on the faucet assembly or from stress caused by a sharp pull on the drip system tubing. This is part of the design. The anti-syphon valve should break before your bib faucet breaks. It's far less expensive to replace the anti-syphon valve than to replace a broken bib faucet that may result from the same stresses. |

| Why aren't all web pages on your site secure? |
|
We only secure the checkout pages where you submit personal information. There is no need to secure all pages of our website. If we secure all pages, the pages take longer to download and there is no advantage for the security of your personal information. You will see a lock in the lower right hand corner of your computer screen when a page is secure. |

| Can I join pipe threads and hose threads together? |
|
No. If you try to join hose and pipe threads on irrigation systems, one set of threads will strip and the connection will leak. If you have the two thread types in front of you, the coarser thread is the hose thread. The finer thread is the pipe thread. If you need to join them, use adaptors to make the conversion. We offer many adaptors in our online drip irrigation store under Fittings. Hose threads are always 3/4". Pipe threads come in all sizes. You need to add teflon tape to pipe threads to keep them leak free. You don't need to add any teflon tape to hose threads since there should always be a rubber washer to seal the joint. An example is your garden hose which is always hose thread. In our online store, we mark each irrigation systems part with an icon to show whether it is pipe threads or hose threads . |

| How will I know when my order is shipped? |
We will send an email to you when we ship your irrigation supplies order. Consult the Shipping page for estimates of the time required for your order to arrive. |

| Can I return items I ordered? |
|
Yes. Items may be returned within 60 days of the invoice date. Items must be unused and in new condition. Before you ship the return items, please phone or email for a Return Authorization Number and shipping instructions. We cannot accept shipments without a Return Authorization Number.
Ship the item back prepaid and insured. We will reimburse you for reasonable shipping costs if we made an error filling the order. Otherwise the customer pays the shipping costs for returned parts. |

| Is my credit card information safe? |
We use the Elavon system for credit card authorization. Elavon is reliable and trusted around the world. We do not store your credit card information, the entire process takes place on Elavon servers for maximum safety and privacy. |

| Is the Northern Garden Supply website secure? |
Our online store website is secured by SSL technology from GeoTrust. When you Checkout, you will notice a "secure site" lock or key icon in the lower right corner of your screen. That indicates that the checkout pages and your personal information are secure. |

| Can I see my past orders? |
Yes, click on My Account and you can see all your past irrigation supplies orders. You can also print past and current invoices. Please note that only the original invoices are displayed. Changes and additions may not show. |

| Are there warranties? |
Warranties for timers and controllers are stated on the instructions in the box. Phone the toll-free number listed before you ship the unit to the factory. Many problems can be solved over the phone. Ship the unit to the factory address at your expense. The factory staff will repair or replace the unit and send it back to prepaid. All other parts are commercial grade and are designed to last for many years of service. If you have a problem with materials or workmanship of a part in the first six months, please let us know. |

| What are your office hours? |
For your convenience, our phone hours are from 10 am to 6 pm Pacific Time (1 pm to 9 pm Eastern Time) from Monday to Friday. |

| Can I make changes to my order? |
Yes, of course. We normally ship within 24 to 48 hours from the time you order, so please phone or email as soon as possible. If you are not sure if the parts you are ordering are the right parts, you can mention to us in the Comment section of the Checkout that we need to hold the order until you can verify that you have ordered the right parts. Once your order is shipped, we can no longer make changes to the original order. |

| Do US customers have to pay duty or customs broker fees? |
Currently no duty or customs broker fees have been levied on shipments to the US valued less than $1000- and shipped by the methods we employ. Of course we have no control over changes to US regulations or practices but we will post information on the Shipping page if we learn of a change of US policy. |
