Have you signed the "book"... ...near Smithers?
Have you signed the "book"?
It's stored at the top of the South peak of Hudson Bay Mountain, near Smithers.
When you make it to the top, you can sign your name to prove that you were there.
The climb is not easy and it's not impossible, but it is a bit of work and you'll feel a sense of accomplishment when you do it.
Here's a few tips to help you get to the top.
At the top

in the rocks near where they are sitting.
Drive to the end of the Ski Smithers road and park at the green "T" ski lift. Walk up the road that angles up the hill and away from the Green ski lift.
Follow the main trail across the "Prairie" toward the north west. About 3/4 across the "Prairie", turn right off the trail and head north up to the top of the ridge. The soft grass and heather of the "prairie" turns to broken rock on the approach to the ridge.
The trip
Your trip to the summit will go

This is not a good place for running shoes. Better to have sturdy hiking boots. It's also hard on a dog's paws so best to leave Fido at home this time.
Turn left (west) and follow the ridge to the South peak.
