Therapeutic Touch For Everyone... ...and Dawn Park Means Everyone!
by Debi Osborne
Her hands are a contradiction. They are strong and man-like, but soft as a baby's bottom. You can feel the power and strength in them as they glide down from your tired shoulders to your overstressed back, sending your aching cares far away from the room.
You are at the mercy of the hands. You let out a small sigh or even a grateful whinny during the session. It feels soooo good.

These hands need to be capable because Dawn Park has clients ranging in weight from 30 to 2000 pounds on any given day of her week. Her business is called "Park-It-Here Enterprises" and it basically means what it says. A Level 4 "Touch For Health" Therapist, she will pack up her lotion, ghetto blaster, massage table and tools and park them wherever she is needed.
She rents a room on Mondays with L.A. Looks in Houston, then spends the rest of the week in offices, people's homes or in their barns. Did I mention Dawn is also a certified Equine Sports Therapist?

It all began with the horses, after having completed a two-year course at the B.C. College of Equine Therapy in Vernon.
As she perfected her technique of sensitive touch, it only became natural to expand her clientele to humans.
"Muscle structures between horses and humans are quite similar," she says and after six years and hundreds of massages later, she should know.
How can Dawn tell the horses appreciate her work? "Some moan or groan, others stick their lips in the air. Many of them lean right into me". (That is a lot of weight to stand up against!)
One lame horse slept for 24 hours after his therapy and woke up walking normal again.More story
