Trucks in Mud

Spinning tires, engine RPM at redline, mud, water and logs buried out of sight are all hard on trucks. Things break. If you plan on joining the BV Diggers, you should be a good mechanic or else be prepared to learn fast.

BV Diggers can diagnose and fix any mechanical problem in short order but some trucks still have to limp home. One truck lost all forward gears so it was driven in reverse for miles down a bush road to a farm for repairs.

Club members refuse to leave a truck in the bush and will tow a disabled truck if they lack needed parts.

Fixing trucks is half the fun

Preparing the trucks or fixing them is half the fun. For each day of bogging, members spend numerous evenings and weekends swapping parts. Axles and engines are upgraded. Lift kits are added to raise the body to minimize damage to sheet metal.

Some of the trucks have been modified so much that they are no longer road worthy and need to be trailered to the site, but most can be driven daily.

Another quick tow

Some trucks have thousands of dollars of exotic high-performance parts added but others are $300- wrecks with rusted bodies and high mileage. It doesn't matter what you bring as long as it can get muddy and then get home.
