As an avid listener to CBC news, Indra
e-mailed the radio station asking for a special song of
Brahm's to be played for her father's
birthday. When the President
of the
Prince George Symphony heard the story, he sent tickets
for the family to come and
watch the Mother's Day symphony where, during his introductions
of the musicians, he made mention of Indra and her awards
along with saying he looked forward to the day when she
is either playing as a guest musician or with the orchestra.
After the symphony Indra met the guest musicians
as well as the conductor.
Partially owing to the fact that
she reads Clavier magazine (Clavier meaning keyboard
in french she tells me), an academic
magazine written especially for professionals and teachers,
Indra can easily converse with visiting musicians at
an amazing level for her age. |
