| It started when I noticed a different face in town - a woman that wore loose, billowing clothes although one could tell she was slim. She had a South African accent, reddish hair, pink lipstick; her smile always looked fresh, slightly mischievous and full of fun. After months of exchanging polite hellos, I finally walked up to her and asked, "Who are you?" That was how I met Marelize.
About the same time, I was introduced to Deb, an adventurous, out-going teacher from New Zealand who was also a friend of Marelize. The three of us hit it off immensely, every conversation dazzling, informative and often bordering on the bizarre. Marelize is a chartered psychologist, specializing in sexuality and I am a writer quested to discover what makes people tick.

We each had loved ones and relatives, careers, hobbies and favorite past times, but there remained a need to be with other women. We understood each other unquestionably; we needed support and advice and wished to give the same in return.
Because I juggled a family, Marelize a budding career, and Deb her job and husband we decided to try and talk once a week over lunch.
