The Endako Loop

If you walk along the small pebbled beach to your right, you will eventually come to Black Point. You can't miss it as you have to pass around the rock point to get to more beach.

Right at the point, inland enough to break any winds, is the picnic table and firepit area. Lots of room for a tent, too.

Black Point- you can't miss it!

Locals tell stories of casting right off this beach for trout. My husband fondly remembers this magical place from his childhood where he spent many hours with his friends. Blue clam shells litter the beach as does driftwood of every size and shape imaginable.

A catamaran races by and I wish for my canoe. The view from here of the surrounding hills is beautiful as are the clear shots of the lake. You can see the summer resorts across the bay.

The beach area Is long and clean

I enjoyed my picnic, then drove back down Dahlgren Road and back onto Nithi Lake Road, but instead of turning left to Stellako Lodge and eventually Endako, I turned right and came out on Highway 16.

Now, a left turn completes the loop and takes me back to Endako - a right takes me on to Fraser Lake, just 4 km east.

I turn left - the Endako Pub with all its rustic charm and well-wishers awaits this thirsty traveller.
