Anyone going to the Quesnel auction on May 12th?
If anyone goes, can they give an auction report? Just wondering what kind of shape the horses will be in/what they sell for.

| That auction place in Quesnel is always a scary place..........I have seen some real horror stories there. |

And we've picked up some really nice diamonds in the rough that were in pretty tough shape. Yikes, not that I'm looking to add to my herd, I'm finally in the single digits!

| I will be there watching, I am keeping an eye on certain buyers.lol. actually would like to see certain people exempt from buying,oh well I will probably end up going back down south with a few more than I need,ha ha some people don't have to go the auction to see a horror story, all they need to do is look in their own neighborhood. |

Not many horses. Auctioneer was crabby as heck. I wanted a donkey, but not at his prices and he passed them out.
Almost didn't recognize some people. Weight in the face sure distorts a persons appearence and only knew who was who by who they were with.
Didn't stick around after that. |

| ya I noticed he was a little bit cranky, probably due to the low turnout of people and horses, and ya some prices were a little more than they should have been and passed through,I did like a couple of them, but they were also the pass crew, but as sad as it is I do believe "exempt" might have bought a few poor horses,god forbid it would have been more humane to have the m.m. buy them, death would be inevitable but at least not by not starvation |

I heard another auction in Quesnel May 28? and one in Vanderhoof June 2?
I agree that people should be checked and liscenced in order to adopt any animal, and if they want to have children as well - i normally dislike any govt intervention in our lives, but have seen way too much child and animal and wife abuse over the years..... |
