Here's a comment from a customer: "I appreciate how smooth and easy the online purchase was. I received my order on Saturday (small town post office :), and I have almost completed the installation. I have to say that I am amazed at how efficient and easy drip irrigation is. It will probably pay for itself within a couple of weeks, considering that I now save almost an hour a day thanks to an automated watering system "

Note the very neat installation of heavywall dripline in raised beds built by another of our customers. A hole is drilled to keep the supply tubing elbow at the exact height of the soil in the bed.
All the other supply tubing is hidden in spaces between the paving blocks. That way the tubing is protected from foot traffic yet is still accessible for maintenance.
You can see the wetting pattern of the drippers every 12" on the soil surface. Many gardeners wait until they can see that pattern and then plant to take best advantage. |

This market gardener set up rows 60' long and 48" apart for easy mechanical tilling. The crop will be a mixed assortment of salad and storage vegetables for the local organic market.
The thinwall dripline has drippers spaced 12" apart and each dripper delivers .6 gallons per hour. The header is 3/4" diameter white PE tubing.
Our customer will operate the drip system for one hour every other day. On dry hot days, he can choose to operate every day to make sure that the fast-growing plants always have a supply of water.
You can see the wetting pattern on the soil surface. The grower will plant 6" to either side of the dripline to maximize the crop.
